		<description>The main thrust of it isn&#039;t that advertising is changing. There will always be people trying to convince other people to buy stuff. It&#039;s a matter of how to present it in a matter that is controlled, focused, and relevant.

So many papers (and other outlets, I suppose) have it ingrained that you make money by packaging ads with your content. When you&#039;re the only one producing content, you&#039;re the only one making money. Now that he net is taking that content and distribution monopoly away, it&#039;s becoming a much more level field.

What has old media up in arms isn&#039;t that it&#039;s no longer profitable, it&#039;s that it&#039;s no longer on such a ridiculous scale. Instead of money spewing into the system it&#039;s trickling.

I think they just have to suck it up and realize they&#039;re not the only advertising outlet. Rather than competing with bloggers and networking sites they should offer a better advertising model than the old print model. Of course, I don&#039;t think they&#039;ll be finding one better than the google model for a while. Not a lot of innovation on the newspaper front.</description>
